Ive been told it is illegal for my insurance to pay any of those bills then drop me. is that true?

-im pregnant and under my fathers insurance. the insurance payed the first bill no problem then dropped me without any notification. ive been told it is illegal for them to pay any of those bills then drop me. is that true? They cannot drop you because you incurred expenses. They can drop you for other reasons whether they paid anything on your behalf or not. Such reasons could be you no longer qualify to be on the plan or the premium was not paid. However, they do not drop without any notification unless it was a technical error, in which case a phone call should fix the problem.
That is not true.

They cannot drop you for that reason.

However, they can drop you for other reasons.

If they pay one of the bills and then there is another reason for them to drop you, then they can drop you for that other reason, even if they have already paid one of the bills.
They can only drop you if you don't qualify to be on the plan. They can't drop you for making claims...that's the point of insurance.
