You're probably really asking, is there a website where you can type in someone's name, and find out if they have life insurance in force. And the answer to that is no. That information is protected by the privacy laws, which is why only your mother, or her legal representative, can do a search on HER.Sure. The answer is "no".
You can't take put life insuranceonsomeoneunless you have an insurable interest in them. Also, she would have to be notified. AND she would most likely have to submit to a physical exam.
Nobody could have done that. They'd need your mother's signature, and most likely she would have needed a medical exam as well.
Unless they had a verifiable financial interest in her life, they can't.
