Insurance rate difference between Mazda 3 and Hyundai Accent?

-I'm 16 and got a 2011 base Mazda3. Our insurance provider said it our rates will go up since I'm a new driver but a Mazda3 shouldnt be expensive to insure. Turns out Mazda3's are "sports cars" and incredibly expensive to insure. Would it be cheaper on insurance to trade in my Mazda for a Hyundai Accent (of equal or less value)?Get a quote on the Hyundai first. You should always get an insurance quote before buying a car.



Then do the math, will the money you save on insurance by switching be worth the depreciation hit you're gonna take on trading in a new car (the Mazda3).
