Does anyone know of a cheap health insurance plan?

-I am 24 years old and a college student. I need a health insurance plan to enroll into a nursing program. I only work 2 days a week. I need a cheaper plan. I am married and my husband needs health insurance too. Any ideas?First, I'd need to understand your definition of "cheap".

Second, I'd need to know your state because insurance companies do not write policies in every state.

Third, I'd need to know your height and weight because insurance companies will decline to accept you or may increase your premium based on your weight.

Fourth, I'd need to know what your current health condition is because insurance companies will decline to accept you or may increase your premium based on your current health.

In other words, talk with a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. The agent can help you find the best plan for your situation and budget. They can explain what you get and, more importantly, what you don't get with the "cheap" policies. There is no extra charge using an agent.
Cheaper than what? If you're in perfect health, you can get a high deductible health insurance policy in most states, for just you, no maternity coverage, for about $100 a month. It won't cover anything under $5,000 or so. Same for your husband.

The older you are, the more it costs. The better coverage you want, the more it costs.

A local broker can help you balance coverages and costs.
Go for a mediclaim policy from one of the PSUs like The New India Assurance Co.

Service might not be the best but claim settlements are better in the long run.
Call a health insurance broker that does business in your state. They will be able to advise you.
